Events 2017 (Fail to plan and you plan to fail)

If you wish to organise an event, great, but please mail us first to avoid dates clashing. All events, where possible, should be posted at least 2 months in advance to allow time for people to make their plans.

March 11th & 12th - ' WALES 4 WHEELS FORWARD MYSTERY TOUR WEEKEND 2017'. - Something a little different, yet again. I have talked about this for a few years previous and for last few year we tried it and loved it, so here it is again for those of you that missed out. A chance for those who fancy to dig out your 4 wheel favorite, maybe grab the miss or a mate and get out for an early weekends sightseeing on more than two wheels. Any vehicle with 3 wheels or more that is capable of completing around 500 miles without being pushed (much) will do the trick. So the plan is to meet up on Saturday Morning at the Mc D's (SY13 1JZ) on the Whitchurch Bypass, where the A495 turns off for Ellesmere, at 9.30ish for a 10.00 departure, fuel up as you arrive and arrive much earlier if you want to take breakfast. . Then we'll take some quiet roads to arrive about 5pm at some fabulous DIGS near the West Coast. After what is always a good night for the 4WF gang, Sunday morning we'll take a nice relaxed breakfast and then take a different stunning rout back towards the boarder using more well chosen roads..............more info...

March 31st + April 1st & 2nd - THE BTBC TOUR OF WALES WEEKEND 2017. - Friday to Sunday, 3 days, coming very soon................... - This is it, our first big weekend away for 2017 (please note I am still looking at an possible alternative to replace Wales 2 this year, so this might be our only trip to Wales if the new trip works out OK). Always a good excuse to get the bike out early and definitely the way to make sure you have an exciting and active year on your bike. This is the trip where new friendships are made and plans will be sorted for 2017. The new format continues this year as we never seem to have enough time to do all the really interesting lanes that Wales has to offer and I know many have a night out near Whitchurch anyway. So the plan is to meet up on Friday Morning at the Mc D's (SY13 1JZ) on the Whitchurch Bypass, where the A495 turns off for Ellesmere, at 10.00ish for a 10.30 departure, fuel up as you arrive and arrive much earlier if you want to take breakfast. . Then we'll take to the back roads to arrive about 5pm at some fabulous DIGS near the West Coast. After what is always a good night, Saturday morning we'll take a nice relaxed day to do the far west of Wales and maybe even a few easy trails (Road alternative available) weather permitting before again hitting our digs for another night of fun. Sunday morning we will rise and use a different rout back towards the boarder using more top lanes..............more info...

From the meeting point we'll take an interesting route up through the Scottish Borders before Crossing the Clyde around dinner time. Then it's over some stunning passes to our first Hotel overlooking the shores of the Loch. After a good meal and a wee drink we'll rise the next morning to head up the West Coast via a spectacular route to Applecross. This is a truly spectacular trip well worth the effort. It's always over booked and can only take a limited number due to the accommodation used. If you've done it before you know to be quick. If you’ve not done it before you should make an effort to be quicker still and secure your place on this fantastic tour. July - 6th to 16th - BTBC STELLA ALPINA 2017 + A MOST EXCELLENT DOLOMITES ADVENTURE

A very special trip indeed. As always, I have been working very hard to find ways to further improve our annual trip to the Stella Alpina and have come up with a proper, old school, Alpine adventure. It will have all the very best of the old stuff, so don't worry, you will still get the chance to ride all your old favourite passes, including many of the highest and most stunning road passes in the Alps. But for this year we will be venturing much further afield, with lots of new stuff for the more adventurous types amongst you. The trip will include many of the very best and highest mountain passes including the Stelvio on route to explore the stunning Dolomites, as well as a trip right through the Black Forrest. This will without doubt be a most excellent and enjoyable trip with plenty of new passes and new places to see. This whole trip will be a biking Nirvana, doing all the best roads and passes while still having a little time for coffee, before we drink, eat and chill in nice hotels. Not one to miss.

Sorry, now Full!!

November 4th & 5th - ' WALES 4 WHEELS FORWARD 2 MYSTERY TOUR WEEKEND 2017'. - Something a little different, yet again! We have talked about this for many years now with friends, the late, great, Dave Jones and many others and for the last few years have run a Car trip or two. For any nesh bike riders out there, or for any one with a 4 Wheeled toy or who wants to bring the other half along in comfort to see what we do, what a blast it is. So here it is yet again, nice and late this year (most have heaters if it's cold) to give us an extended season of getting out in the lanes and getting together one last time in the year. Don't knock it till you've tried it people, this is a real hoot in any vehicle and the roads are well chosen for cars. So this is your last chance this year for those who fancy to dig out your 4 wheel favorite, maybe grab the Mrs (or Mr) or even a mate and get out for a weekends 4 wheeled sightseeing on the best roads I know. Any vehicle with 3 wheels or more that is capable of completing around 500 miles ish without having to be pushed by others too much will do the trick. The plan is to meet up on the Saturday Morning at the Mc D's (SY13 1JZ) on the Whitchurch Bypass, where the A495 turns off for Ellesmere, at 10.00ish for a 10.15 departure, fuel up as you arrive and arrive much earlier if you want to take breakfast and have a chat Then we'll take some quiet roads to arrive about 5pm at some fabulous DIGS near the West Coast. After what is always a good night for the 4WF gang, Sunday morning we'll take a nice relaxed breakfast and then take a different stunning rout back towards the boarder using more well chosen roads..............more info...
