Events 2018 (Fail to plan and you plan to fail)

If you wish to organise an event, great, but please mail us first to avoid dates clashing. All events, where possible, should be posted at least 2 months in advance to allow time for people to make their plans.

March 3rd & 4th - ' WALES 4 WHEELS FORWARD MYSTERY TOUR WEEKEND 2018'. - Something a little different, yet again! We have done this for a few years now and it is a really good trip. So here it is again, nice and early this year (most have heaters if it's cold) to give us the best chance to slip another one in somewhere else if the mood takes us and extend our season of getting together a little more. Don't knock it till you've tried it people, this is a real hoot in any vehicle. It is a chance for those who fancy it to dig out your 4 wheel favorite, maybe grab the Mrs (or Mr) or even a mate and get out for a weekends 4 wheeled sightseeing on the best roads I know. Any vehicle with 3 wheels or more that is capable of completing the 500 mile ish trip without having to be pushed by others too much will do the trick. So the plan is to meet up on the Saturday Morning at the Mc D's (SY13 1JZ) on the Whitchurch Bypass, where the A495 turns off for Ellesmere, at 10.00ish for a 10.15 departure, fuel up as you arrive and arrive much earlier if you want to take breakfast and have a chat. . Then we'll take to some lovely quiet roads (Old and New) with great views..more info...

June (28th) 29th to July 10th (11th) 2018 - BTBC STELLA ALPINA 2018 + - A very special trip indeed. As always, I have been working very hard to find ways to further improve our annual trip to the Stella Alpina and have come up with yet another, old school, Alpine Holiday/adventure. It will have all the very best of the old stuff, so don't worry, you will still get the chance to ride all your old favorite passes, including many of the highest and most stunning road passes in the Alps. But for this year the plann is to take it a little more relaxed, after all, we are on holiday. But still lots of new stuff for the more adventurous types amongst you. The trip will include many of the very best and highest mountain passes on route to explore the 'Big Country' Swiss Alps. This will without doubt be a most excellent and enjoyable trip with plenty of new and old places to see. This whole trip will be a biking Nirvana, doing all the best roads and passes while having a little more time for coffee, before we drink, eat and chill in nice hotels. And yes, a day on the river is planned for you twitchers and all those who want to swap the bike for a boat and a stunning day of something very different. Not one to miss..

September 21, 22nd & 23rd 2017. - THE COAST TO COAST RUN 2018. - The meeting point has changed from last year and the run will be led by Ben Wheble. Those who can will meet for the run into Whitby on the Friday to hopefully give everyone the chance to join us from anywhere and give us a little more time to do the many great routes this area has to offer. However if you can only join us for one or two days please feel free to do so at anye meeting points. As Ben Wheble will be leading this run you will need to book your own accommodation at Whitby for the night of Friday 21st and Hawes for Sat 22nd September. Both towns have many B&Bs etc. plus there are camping options for those more hardy types. Some establishments are reluctant to book a single night so book what you can if you see something. Also there is often space at the YHAs in both Whitby & Hawes with many choosing to stay there along with Boggle Hole & Ingleton a bit further away. In the past, this event has been one of the highlights of the BTBC calendar. The roads we will use are amongst the best in the country with little traffic and few revenue boxes. So, put this date in your diaries and join us for a big north ride.
